For the severely visually impaired I guess there is little here. Rightly, I feel, every image should have a longdesc attribute; That's a Long Description page describing the image for people with severe impairments (or maybe someone who cannot look at images - chromophobia or something). I can't undertake to do a longdesc for every image. I'm thinking alt attributes are pretty useless. What am I going to say - 'butterfly'? So: Every image (apart from the logo) has a standard alt attribute. Screen readers should cope with that - sort of - and the code will validate. Maybe I'm talking out of my backside.

Easily the best way for the severely visually impaired to experience this site is to sit with someone who can describe the images. Maybe I'll get a podcast together one day and talk about them. Or contact me: I'll write you a description of an image - if you are really that bothered.

Other than that, if you want juicy words for the mill of your reader all I can offer is my blog and my book.

For the partially sighted and colour blind the site should be high contrast enough to render well with either a low resolution, a magnifier or enlarged text. You can of course enlarge your text in Firefox by holding down the CTRL key and pressing the '+' sign. Or you can use the 'View' menu to do the same thing. You can also use go Tools/Options/Content and change the size there. Safari, Opera and other browsers do similar things.

Verdana is supposed to be easy to read. That's what this font is (unless you don't have it).

People with Learning Disabilities might find the site OK. All you really need to do is look at the pictures. If you click on a picture you get a bigger picture, and you can go back to where you were by using the 'back' button.

Verdana is not so good for people with reading/learning difficulties. I understand Comic Sans is better (it's written how people write with a pen). Maybe one day I could cobble an Easyread guide together. That would be doubleplusgood.

There are no shortcut keys. Sorry if you miss them. I heard they were passé.

Page printing seems banjaxed. I can't see the links. I'm not too bothered at the moment.

The site needs good bandwidth. Ideally a good monitor.

Finally, I wish you well.
